Byron Kirk (b.1986) is an independent Photojournalist from Nottingham, England.
In 2003, at the age of 16, he joined the British Army where he served 8 years with the Household Cavalry Regiment. During this time he experienced combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Upon leaving the forces, he completed a B.A. (Hons) in Photography at Nottingham Trent University.
His work explores a diverse range of political and social affairs, including conflict, mental health, poverty, discrimination, radicalisation and the displacement of others.
Byron is currently studying an M.A. in International Relations, at the University of Nottingham.
